Why "Firmata" is so important?
Firmata it's a general protocol that is used for microcrontollers communication from software installed in a computer.
Firmata is very important because is the best firmware in the world. It is like that because, firmata can be installed in every type of device, and programme it by your own. It's a programme that allows you to change the intern controle from any device and new and more advanced devices will be create, since it's a low level very close to the electronic parts.
